Black Velvet Painting - Waterfront

When I saw this card I immediately thought of the black velvet paintings (I vaguely recall one of Elvis from when I was a kid).
Shout to fellow demonstrator, Kymberly  Newman who designed the card - referring to it as Black Magic.  Using her design I recreated the technique using brighter colors.

My first attempt I used darker colors but it didn't "pop" off the card like this one.
